About The Course:
Pain changes you. Pain also changes the more you feel it—transforming away from an urgent messenger to an odd, transient, and deeply life-affecting passenger.
Grounded in personal and clinical experience, this workshop offers herbal pain management skills that complement any herbal practice; with a deep dive into living with pain that isn’t temporary. You’ll learn:
- Different ways of describing and assessing pain
- When pain management is appropriate as a primary strategy, and when other herbal or medical approaches are necessary
- What types of herbs are most helpful in pain management and how
- Monographs of several useful herbal allies
- Tips for crafting pain relief preparations
- Additional strategies for living with pain
Prerequisites:
Open to all.
Cost:
The suggested donation for this workshop is $40-80. If you can only afford less, that’s okay too. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Please be aware that I live off under $5,000 a year, the majority of which comes in the form of food stamps. I don’t want anyone’s rent money; I do request that folks realistically assess their ability to pay for education and recognize that virtually any form of full-time employment is worlds away from what I make work. Even $5 adds up.
